This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The items requested will play a major part in learning because children need to feel engaged when completing an activity. When we do small group or even whole group lessons, my students tends to learn better with hands on projects. I also love doing one on one to help better their experiences which leads them to feel comfortable in what they are doing while doing an activity. Being able to bring a sense of home into the classroom will allow my students to achieve their attendance goals as well.

My students love being curious about how food is prepared and/or made.

We use science and literature books to bring things to life, for example, during Dr. Seuss week we read Green Eggs and Ham, and we love to recreate the book by preparing the same food items illustrated in the book. These items listed will help tremendously for my students and will help them grow in areas that need growth.
