Cozy Couches for Classroom

My students need a comfortable and cozy seating area in our classroom where they can stretch out or curl up and enjoy reading a book with their classmates.

My Students

My class of energetic first graders walk, skip, and twirl into my classroom every day, excited to learn! They are a very curious and creative group who love reading books, calculating numbers, investigating science and writing stories.

Studies have shown that reading for enjoyment is vital to any child's brain growth and development.

Our school is consistently one of the top performing schools in our state and is made up of a wide range of socioeconomic levels, so my goal is to continue my students on this path of excellence as they grow up to become lifelong learners.

My Project

My class of 18 first graders need a comfortable place where they can go and enjoy reading their favorite book in our classroom. Our reading area now has no place but the floor, or the student desks, to sit and read books.

My classroom has the ideal spot where 2 futon couches would fit perfectly so my students can sit, stretch out, or just curl up and read a book.

Your donation would help make our class project of 2 cozy, comfortable couches a reality. Not only would these couches benefit my students this year but also my future students for many years.
