My Project
Reading is at the heart of everything we do in my classroom. Whether students are exploring a novel, diving into nonfiction, or simply getting lost in a story of their choice, they need a space that feels welcoming, organized, and comfortable. That’s why I’m requesting bookshelves and a rug to help transform a corner of our room into a dedicated reading zone.
The bookshelves will allow us to display our classroom library in a way that’s accessible and appealing to students.
Right now, many of our books are stored in bins or stacked, making it hard for students to find titles that excite them. Proper shelves will help highlight high-interest books and keep everything organized by genre, topic, or level.
The rug will help define this reading space, giving students a soft and cozy place to sit, read, or work during independent or partner activities. It will turn the reading corner into a place they look forward to visiting—one that feels more like a book nook than a classroom.
Together, the bookshelves and rug will help create a space where students feel calm, focused, and inspired to read. Thank you for helping us make literacy a centerpiece of our classroom community!
