My Students

"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” ― Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut! My students are ready to read. It is hard to keep focused reading a book when you are sitting on a hard, cold floor.

I teach all subjects in a first grade classroom.

Our school has a large percentage of students in need and a 51% population on free or reduced lunch. Our school is close, but not close enough, to receiving federal funding. My school's ratings are excellent in our state for academic progress. I love my school and I love my precious students. They are the best and I want nothing but the best for each of them.

My Project

We have a special hangout spot in my room where the students go to read quietly. When they read, it's hard for them to stay focused on the story because they have to sit on a hard floor. I started looking for options! When I saw these cozy cushions, I knew that I would have to have some for my classroom! My students love to read! The cushions looks like the perfect sitting place for students who just need to focus a little more. I am requesting this set of cushions for my reading area.
