My students are uniquely individual with highly energetic minds and bodies. Some of my students come with intensities such as sensory sensitivity, anxiety, and highly excitable personalities. I teach gifted students as well as English Learners who are motivated, creative, highly inventive, and outside-of-the-box thinkers.
While my students are busy learning, growing, questioning, and exploring the world, they are also developing their social-emotional skills.
This is something that I feel strongly about supporting within my classroom; I want to provide them the safest, most comfortable, inviting, loving, and welcoming experience when they step foot into our classroom!
My Project
These new chairs will help my students feel comfortable when they are emotionally over-stimulated. They can arrange the furniture into cozy spaces that will provide students more choices for their needs. By giving students choice, I am creating an environment for them to learn self-regulation skills.
I feel strongly about fostering a classroom where students can comfortably work and be the most creative at the same time.
Kiddos love to work in smaller nooks in a comfy atmosphere. By providing this new furniture, students will be more engaged and ready for a successful day! My students will love these chairs!
