My Students

My fourth graders are exceptional! They strive to embody the characteristics and attitudes taught at our International Baccalaureate school, such as being risk takers, caring students, and principled workers. They deserve the best, and show me daily what it means to be life long learners.

My Project

Before students can learn, they must feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their environment. Creating a home away from home has become my goal as a fourth grade teacher of students who need this now more than ever.

Adding curtains and a comfortable rug to our class library will add to the feeling of home I want to create for my fourth graders.

To meet the high academic goals I have for them, they must feel that they can take risks. The recent tragic events in our district have made many feel uneasy at times. Before we can expect students to grow academically, their emotional needs must be met.

Please consider helping our classroom family meet this goal, and making a huge difference in their lives. Help them feel like they are at home at their school.
