This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kids need your support! I teach a kindergarten class in an urban school district. Their school is in an inner city, and the children all qualify for free lunch. Many of them come from families who suffer from financial hardship, so I try to make their classroom a safe,happy home away from home.

Despite any challenges my students face they are enthusiastic, kind, and love to learn.

The love kindergartners show myself and each other makes me strive harder to make the best educational experience possible for them.

My Project

My students deserve to have a comfortable, clean and cozy home away from home. Many of my students come from disadvantaged households and school is a safe haven for them.I try to make their learning environment as inviting as possible because the first step in creating a love of learning is creating a learning environment that the kids don't want to leave. I want them to be excited to come in everyday and part of that is making our morning meeting place warm and inviting. On our carpet we will go on new adventures in reading and work on our interpersonal skills through play.
