My students are unique because they began this school year on an eLearning path. Parents were given a choice to continue this path or to return to in-person learning. Since so many students chose to return in person, another 5th-grade teacher was needed. That's me!
My students came together for their first time at the beginning of January!
Our school is in a great neighborhood in Colorado. We now have three fifth-grade classrooms, with mine being added to the community. My students come from various academic abilities, but they have pressed on through this tough year and are excited to be back in person together.
My Project
This project contains soft lighting, a floor rug, flexible seating, and bulletin board paper. All of these items together will help make the classroom a more warm and welcoming area.
When students are comfortable, they're more able to relax and learn.
My goal is to create an environment that is organized, predictable, and comfortable for my students.
The materials in this project will not only benefit my students this year, but for years to come as they can be reused over and over again with new classes throughout my teaching career.
