My Project

Students in my Emotional Support classes often have big emotions to work through. Having a cozy and relaxing classroom space assists my students with being able to focus, self-regulate, and learn.

My students are most creative when they are relaxed, calm, and feeling safe.

The different materials in this project will help provide that type of classroom for my students. I’ve included several different sensory and fidget items for my calm down area to support my students through their emotions. The seat cushions give my students options to sit comfortably on the floor while they work with partners, groups, or independently. The different succulent decorations will help provide a calm, relaxing environment that will help set the tone for the day.
