Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I have a class of 30 scholars this school year. I was provided with 26 cots. My young scholars each need their own cot and sheet to rest on. I am currently using extra cots that are meant for much younger children, and my children do not fit on those comfortably.

After a busy morning, my young scholars need a brief rest time to recharge their bodies for learning in the afternoon.

Our afternoon is filled with play time where we work on skills such as sharing and taking turns. We also work on developing appropriate social emotional skills.
