My Project

The presence of a cozy carpet in the classroom creates a comfortable and calm learning environment for my students. Having a carpet in the classroom creates a more functional space for learning and supports their academic, social, and emotional development. Having a large carpet will allow me to gather students for Morning Meeting, Whole Group lessons, and Closing Meeting.

Having a designated spot for my students to come together, will foster a sense of belonging and enhance our classroom community.

I plan to use this space for students to interact, collaborate, and build classroom relationships. Creating a designated gathering spot with a cozy carpet contributes to building a strong sense of community within the classroom, where students feel connected, respected, and supported by their peers and teachers.

As a first year teacher, I am committed to providing my students a magical place to learn. Having a comfortable space for students to grow will encourage their creativity and foster a love for learning.
