This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am lucky enough to work with an amazing group of scholars who make the most out of their everyday learning. My students are kind, positive, and motivated to learn. The 6th graders in my class come to school each and every day, with a positive attitude, in an environment where they are expected to be respectful, and responsible, and ready to learn

Bright, curious, motivated, strong, these are just a few of the words that come to mind when describing these awesome beings that I get to call my students.

All of the scholars in my class come from different socio-economic backgrounds and ability levels. Yet in our class, we are all equal. When we walk through the doors, we are a team, and we work hard to lift one another up so we may all find success, even if that looks different for each student.

My Project

My students love to read, and they love our classroom library. All that is missing, is a nice comfy carpet.

This carpet will allow my students to truly sink into their book, and get lost in a story.

Providing my students with a comfortable space to read, will encourage their continued growth as students and as learners of the English language. This carpet is also the place where we teach small groups for both language arts and math. This gift of a carpet will help our learning environment feel more safe, and help to foster growth in all areas of academics!
