My Project

My students love to have a good place to look at books or listen to their audio books. I want to give my students the flexible seating so they can relax and be comfortable while they are listening to their books. The area that I will be using for my reading corner is not carpeted. The carpet will make it much more comfortable and cozy for my students so that they can enjoy their books!

Kindergarteners struggle to regulate their emotions and often times need an area to reset.

I want to give my students an area where they can go to read but also an area that can be used as a calm down corner. My students come from low income households and many of them face many challenges before they even get to school. I want to create a space in my classroom for my students to go when they are feeling upset. An area they can go to calm down before making a poor choice in the classroom.
