This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My first-grade students benefit from having an area of the classroom to use when they need to manage big feelings. Social emotional learning is such an important skill for young students and their ability to become successful at any given task in a classroom.
I currently have a calm down corner with many activities, fidgets, and other tools; however, I feel a cozy couch for them to sit and relax on would be to their best interests.
Please help improve the calm down corner I have provided my students so that they can try their best to be their best when learning to manage their emotions.
