My Students

I think reading and discussing novels is such an important part of becoming a lifelong reader. I am the reading teacher of 37 gifted and high achieving students. One of their favorite class time activities includes book clubs where they can point out parts of a story and talk with their peers. They love comfortable spots to sit and talk.

My Project

My students love to read novels as a group and discuss the chapters. The cozy seating gives a group at a time to discuss like they were in a book club at home.

Nothing is better than getting cozy with a good book.

I am always trying to find new ways for the students to feel comfortable in the classroom since they spend so much time there. Flex seating helps with kids who have trouble sitting in a traditional desk. They always feel so special when they have a fun place to sit!
