Help me give my students a cozy, soft rug to sit on while reading in a windowless classroom. The beach wall mural will make the small room more inviting and open.
My students are diverse and come from all over the world!
They are learning English as a new language as well as adapting to their new environment!!
They are engaged in the process and a joy to teach. My school is a wonderful community of teachers and students. Though our school is great, it comes with challenges as a Title I school. We struggle to meet the needs of our students, because of the lack of rigorous, innovative, and fun items in the classroom, which would engage students and encourage learning!
My Project
Elementary kids love to seat on the floor to read and learn. The soft rug will provide an inviting place for them to sit down while engaging with classmates. They can complete puzzles, projects, and have the freedom to move as children.
The mural of the beach will provide the perfect getaway from the windowless room.
It will bring nature into the dark space and stimulate their spirit and mind. The rug and mural will improve their state of happiness and increase their positive mood. Learning will be more enjoyable for all.
