My Students
My students live and attend school in an urban neighborhood. Our school is Title I and all students receive free breakfast and lunch. This year we are excited to be back in person.
My students are curious, bright, and hard-working.
They enjoy interacting and collaborating. Relationship building is integral no matter if the teaching is in person or virtual. Keeping students interested and engaged is vital to helping them cultivate a love for learning.
My Project
After a year of virtual learning, I want to provide my students with opportunities to safely engage in small groups and hands-on learning. In order to do this effectively, it is imperative that I have materials that allow us to distance ourselves while collaborating.
The forest carpet squares put the FUN in functional!
The students will be able to maintain distance, work with a partner or small group and have the opportunity to get out of their desk chairs. The colorful braided rug and squishy floor pillow provide students a comfortable area for reading or independent work. These can be easily cleaned and maintained.
My students will use the individual whiteboards with their own erasers and markers to lessen the chance of spreading germs. Clorox wipes are always needed!
Donating to this project will give my students a bright, fun, happy, and safe environment to learn and grow. Thank you for your time!
