This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our school, we have three Junior High sports teams: Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer. To better prepare our student-athletes for the upcoming seasons we need some better training equipment. My student athletes need help developing their upper body strength. Our student athletes will use a rope to increase their muscular endurance and strength by using their body weight as resistance when climbing the rope.
I want to incorporate rope climbing into our strength and conditioning training sessions for our student athletes.
Our Volleyball and basketball players will really benefit from developing their muscular endurance of their upper body. Rope climbing is one of the best ways to develop upper body strength and has gained popularity from shows like American Ninja Warrior and O.C.R. events like Spartan and Tough Mudder. After all, what’s a training session without rope climbing?
