COVID-19 Can't Mask Our Love for Learning!

My Students

My students are between the ages of two and three and have many different disabilities and needs, such as autism, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, blindness, and emotional and physical challenges. I also have a few typically developing students who serve as peer models for language and socialization.

My students come from culturally diverse families, and many have socioeconomic challenges as well.

My school is a Title I school, and we have a large population of children with special needs and English Language Learners.

My Project

I am requesting KN95 face masks for the grown ups and children that are in our classroom. The positive COVID-19 cases are on the rise in Alexandria, Virginia, and we want to keep ourselves and our students safe!

Having child-sized masks in the classroom lets me provide masks for those students who forget their mask, lose their mask, or when their mask gets dirty from sneezing, drinking water, or when the mask falls on the ground.

With these masks, I am able to keep students healthy, safe, and in school so that they can learn without disruption to their education. Thank you for your consideration!
