Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 4th Grade Reading, Writing, and Social Studies! My students have been working hard all year and they are always rolling with the punches. They have truly shown how adaptable they are.
My students are also so diverse and have so much to offer one another.
They are so open to learning from each other and always listen to each other intently. They are so kind and generous with one another.
My Project
These materials will help me provide an environment in which my students feel welcomed and safe. They will be able to walk in and know they do not have to worry about being perfect, they can just be themselves. The bookshelves and rug will add to the feeling of being home while also creating a space for students to dive into their favorite books. Having a bright and organized library will make it easier for students to pick out books at their level that they enjoy during small group time.
By donating to our project, you will be able to have a direct hand in the education of my students.
As a portion of my students have IEP's it is a top priority of mine to make sure that not only are their lessons differentiated but that their classroom seating is as well.
