Cover Up Our Micro:Bits So We Are Covered From COVID!

Help me give my students covers for their Micro:bits so we can easily clean them for use during Covid. They are eager to use these wonderful products but without a cover, they cannot be cleaned.

My Students

My middle school is in a rural area in Virginia.

There are just over 1000 enrolled in grades 6 through 8. Over 50% of our student body participates in the free and reduced-price lunch program. The students especially enjoy learning about math and science and love every opportunity to use technology in the classroom. This project will help teachers implement technology in a fun and engaging way!

My Project

We currently have 40 micro:bits in our Innovation Lab, but when students return in a few weeks, they will not be able to use them because they can not be cleaned. These covers will help them be wiped off between students so they can use these wonderful electronic items while learning to code. Students will have the opportunity to code with our Micro:bits once they have these silicone sleeves to keep us clean and safe during CoVid. After CoVid, they will still help us to keep germs at bay since we can continue to clean this equipment.
