Have you ever had a tough time reading what your teacher had written on the chalkboard, either because of the thin white lines of the chalk or smudges? Save my students from that same frustration!
My 1st grade students are amazing students who deserve better materials.
It is difficult to read our old chalkboard. Many of my students are not reading yet. We are learning sight words and phonics. The students would really benefit from the visual of a whiteboard.
My Project
Covering up the chalkboard with this "magical" adhesive dry-erase board film will open up a whole new world of eye-catching written directions and teaching points because I will be able to use a variety of colored markers that will be more effective than the thin lines of white chalk. Some of my students cannot read the white chalk from their desks, so a white background with bold colored dry erase markers will make a huge difference in their education.
This is not just a request for a cosmetic make-over for my classroom.
A dry-erase white board film to cover the existing chalkboard will change the way students retain information because I can organize the points by color, they will be able to read the bolder lines better, and there are environmental benefits because we won't use as much chart paper!
