My Project
Kindergarten students love to learn! It is such an amazing year of growth and discovery, that is my favorite thing about teaching Kindergarten! Students in Kindergarten love to count. One of our main math goals in Kindergarten is learning about number sense and counting to 100!
These count to 100 Rekenreks would give my Kindergarten students hands on daily practice with counting!
It is important to have manipulatives to practice counting with, these individual Rekenreks would be amazing tools to add to my classroom. This tool would allow my students the hands on experiences they need and also make counting fun and engaging! These Rekenreks would allow each student to practice counting to 100 while touching and moving each bead. This hands on practice would make a huge difference in how students see numbers and quantity.
These count to 100 Rekenreks would also be a valuable tool in learning to count by 5's and 10's. They would also be useful when we start adding and subtracting. The possibilities are exciting to think about with this amazing math tool! I am sure my students would love using these each day during math instruction.
