Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a bilingual PK teacher. I serve 3 and 4 years old students. I have PK 4 in the morning and PK 3 in the afternoon. I have a total of 44 students. My students are the best. They are curious and eager to learn every day. However, their reality might be a little different; they come from low-income families and our school needs more resources to help our students better.
Every child deserves the best education possible.
I love my students. They are little sponges ready to absorb any knowledge that we deliver and I want to make sure I am doing everything in my power to deliver that knowledge.
My Project
The school will look different this year for sure, however, our students are eager to learn new things and meet their new best friend in school. I am responsible to teach and feel safe and welcome each of my students. I believe that having the right materials will help me achieve my goal.
I asked for math centers and manipulatives to create a concrete idea of every math concept.
Children learn by playing and doing hands-on activities, especially in math. I would like to have these items in my classroom to be able to provide each child with a variety of games to reinforce or to learn counting, patterns, sorting, and even simple operations. I choose those activities because I can lower or increase the difficulty of the game depending on each student. It is about
Math is everywhere! I need activities to make that statement true. I would like to have different games for my students available for them at every center and small group.
