My Project

I remember engaging with hands-on math activities when snacks were involved as a child. It was always fun to line up my Goldfish, Skittles, Cereal and more. We were able to match quantities to a number, identify which group had more, add, subtract and so much more. I am also requesting number cards, number robots and a counting and peg activity to work on one to one correspondence. These are the foundation skills that every kindergartener needs to master!

I am excited about integrating snack and math to keep my students excited and engaged with our daily math activities.

I know that my students will be excited to work through math centers when they are surprised with a snack some days. This will keep learning fun, exciting, and will fight hunger at the same time!

What better way to create memories during math time! Will you help bring a few snacks and math centers to my classroom? It is my goal to make this the best year yet for my kindergarten students and these snacks will help us do that and so much more!
