My students need three Fire Kids Kindle tablets.
Staying motivated is a challenge in itself. Practicing skills the same way or trying to create new exciting ways is also a struggle.
My students are at least two years behind grade level in math and ELA.
We are a high poverty district with limited technology. It is difficult to engage students in learning when they aren't motivated. They struggle to stay focused on any task presented.
This project requests three Fire Kids Kindle tablets. Math students will be able to be linked to individualized math programs and receive immediate feedback from the teacher. ELA students will research and access information that can be connected to the reading they are already doing in class. Each student will also have reading selections that are based on their individual needs, not one size fits all.
With these Fire Kids Kindle tablet students will have access to more motivating and engaging ways to learn.
Students are currently at least two years behind and this will help them target their individual deficits so that they may succeed. It will also help them become a more active and motivated learner.
