My Project
The counters and organizers I’m requesting will give my students hands-on tools to strengthen their foundational math skills. These resources will allow students to explore numbers, patterns, and relationships through engaging, interactive counting activities. The organizers will help keep the materials accessible and manageable, creating a structured and inviting space for learning. Additionally, the book I’m requesting will help me, as the teacher, enhance my instructional practices by improving my ability to teach number sense through strategies like choral counting and counting collections. Together, these tools will empower my students to build their confidence and proficiency in math, which are essential for their long-term academic success.
My goal for this project is to create a vibrant, resource-rich math intervention classroom where students can develop critical numeracy skills through exploration and practice.
My students are determined, creative, and enthusiastic learners who benefit from activities that make abstract math concepts tangible and relatable. Many of them face challenges with math, but their resilience and willingness to try again make them truly special. These materials will support their learning and enhance my ability to guide them, helping them grow into confident problem solvers.
