Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of them speak English as a second language, and all of them enjoy coming to school.

My students learn from playing with the toys around them and these fun math toys will help them learn their numbers and help them practice their counting skills.

The talking cookie jar will be very engaging and interactive. The frog balance helps with number recognition as the kids will be able to see the number on one side of the balance and then count the counters on the other side. When the matching amount of counters as the number on the other side of the balance, match, the balance will even out.

The tweezer-tong game will be great for color sorting and will also help with fine motor skills as they pick up the balls with the tongs. Lastly, I know they will enjoy the "see inside tubes," which have numbers on them. They only allow the number of balls inside as the number on the tube. My kids will love all these fun activities and learn lots from them.
