Every day I have the joy of walking into a classroom and seeing 20 happy, smiling, faces. My students come to school each day just ready to take in every word and experience I have to offer them. Being an early childhood school we strive to make their first learning experiences as beneficial as possible.
Our school services children from all over the city of Chicago with unique abilities.
They come to us so we can bring out their full potential in all areas of life. As a special education teacher, it is my goal to meet every child’s needs and make sure they know they are loved.
My Project
My preschool students are working on developing math skills. The 10 frame materials will be used daily to establish a foundation of number sense. They will be using them to take daily attendance, play games, and explore numbers. They love magnetic materials and will be very excited to play with new things.
The teachers at my school have recently learned about introducing 10 frames to the preschool students and we are excited and motivated to start this new number adventure with them!
These 10 frame materials will be a great addition to the already teacher created materials we are currently using in the classroom.
