Counting Collections Kits to Build Number Sense

Help me give my students items to engage in counting collections and organizers to help them group items.

My Project

Children have a natural enthusiasm for counting. Counting is one of the earliest ways young children make sense of their world. Help me bring the joy of counting into the classroom with a variety of manipulatives and organizers that keep the repetitive task of choral counting engaging and exciting as they build fluency skills, mathematical thinking, and their understanding of equal grouping (multiplication) and equal sharing (division.)

Counting collections help students solidify repeated patterns, sorting, and grouping with engaging tactile objects to build fluency.

These skills are essential building blocks for continued mathematical reasoning and critical thinking. Counting collections will be used by individual students and in centers to encourage problem solving, teamwork, and fluency.
