it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Empower students to solve real-world problems with the right tools! I teach Algebra, Geometry, and Career-Based Math to a hardworking and determined group of students.
In my class, math isn’t just about numbers on a page—it’s about preparing for real life.
We explore everything from simplifying decimals and solving equations to calculating taxes, understanding mortgages, budgeting, and planning for smart financial futures.
But right now, we’re missing a key piece: calculators.
Many of my students come from families who cannot afford to purchase their own calculators, and with our school moving to a no cell phone policy, they can no longer use calculator apps during class. Without access to classroom calculators, students are at a disadvantage—especially when the math we’re doing connects directly to their futures.
Your support will help provide a classroom set of calculators so that every student has equal access to the tools they need to succeed. These calculators won’t just help with classwork; they’ll support learning that impacts everyday life—from managing money to making informed financial decisions.
