This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a high school counselor, I see firsthand the daily challenges our teenagers face. Many of them struggle with stress, anxiety, and emotional turmoil, which can significantly impact their academic performance and overall well-being. This project aims to provide nutritious meals and essential coping skills training to support our student's mental health and academic success. Many of our students come from low-income families and often lack access to nutritious meals. Proper nutrition is crucial for brain development, mood regulation, and energy levels, all of which contribute to better mental health and learning capabilities. In addition to nutritious meals, we will offer resources to teach students effective coping mechanisms. These skills will help them manage stress, build resilience, and navigate the complexities of high school life more effectively. Your generous donation will fund healthy meals for our students and provide materials for coping skills workshops, including expert-led sessions, educational materials, and support resources. By supporting this project, you will play a vital role in helping our teenagers thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed. By addressing both physical and emotional needs, we aim to empower our students to reach their full potential and build a brighter future.
