My Project

My project, the Counselor's Coping Corner, will provide an additional space for students to calm their bodies and get back to a resilient place through self-regulation. Please help me provide an inviting space with new sofa, baskets, and a rug in my office that offers students comfortable and cozy seating. More and more of my students are experiencing difficulty with mental health issues, which affects their academics. Classroom engagement is an integral part of student success. As a school counselor, students often visit my office so that they can recharge mentally and emotionally. Time in this safe space allows them the opportunity to return to the classroom ready to focus, engage, and participate in the lessons.
