My Students
I am excited to bring in the 2021 -2022 school year with a new group of students at a Title I school in Baltimore City. This upcoming school year I will be counseling students from Pre-k through fifth grade during the most impactful year of student's lives.
My goal as a school counselor is to support and advocate for the success of all students and help them identify and address various social and emotional barriers that's affecting their academic success.
As their school counselor I am driven to support long-term goal achievement by linking students to outside resources to enhance education and career prospects through guidance on career options, higher education choices and life planning. As I support students in overcoming academic, social and mental health challenges, I also want to create a safe space where student will be able to realize their individual strengths and success to achieve results and create a lasting impact that changes lives.
My Project
The materials for this project will be used for students to be able to have an open line of communication where they can comfortably express their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment. These materials that are used in the counselors office and classroom will teach students useful strategies for managing their social and emotional needs in school and at home.
Requesting these materials for my students are to help in facilitating students achievement, improve student behavior and attendance, help students develop socially and help incorporate valuable lessons in their daily life.
