This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using books as conversation starters has been a successful strategy for my students as they visit my counseling office. I also utilize different books during my social emotional lessons I conduct in their classrooms. My Cherokee Point Cheetahs LOVE when I read with them.

I need more diverse books available in my counseling office to support my incredible population of students and families that I have the pleasure of working with.

Many students choose to visit me as their reward time for their behavior charts (successful days) and coloring is a popular activity they like.
