My Project
HMS would benefit from having a scanner/printer in the counseling office. Currently, our building only has one color copier that is in the teachers lounge which students cannot access. By having a color printer, students will be able to take ownership and pride in their work. Also, when our counselor is meeting with families or creating plans, there is a lot of paperwork that must be signed and scanned into the student file. Since the printer is quite the distance, it will make those meetings more efficient and not leave students alone while their papers are retrieved.
Some of the use of the printer will be used for record releases, individualized plans of study, college and career readiness, suicide risk safety plans, printing community resources for families, printing assessment scores, scanning documents to send to outside agencies, printing resources for group activities, philanthropic projects, and anything else that will help with our student success and mental health.
