Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will help me as a school counselor and guide lessons for students on all kinds of things. From grief counseling to lessons about growth mindset, these books will help my students regulate emotions and deal with hard conversations. These books will also give my students the opportunity to read by themselves and have discussions about the topic with me in individual or group counseling. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind.

I decided to go into school counseling after having one conversation with one of my students and I watched her grow from our conversation.

Books are a great tool to get students to open up and trust me, while also giving them a great lesson to learn from. Each of these books will be very cared for and appreciated as I know books can take us to extraordinary places!
