Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students are a mix of cultures and different backgrounds and getting to know each other is so special and fun. Racial Justice and representation is especially relevant nowadays when my students are exposed to t.v news on deportations and other issues on immigration that have arisen.
Some of them have been impacted directly or know someone who has.
I want them to have empathy and write letters or create a written piece that we can laminate and share with other classes. The flexible seating will help create a comfy writing area.
