This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are ready for hands-on learning and problem-solving. These drones will be used to encourage above-average problem-solving while incorporating many of our 5th grade science and math concepts. Students will take their basic understanding of force and motion to the next level. Also, many of our mathematical concepts will be put to use as they think critically to complete a mission with these drones.
Students will work in teams to complete a mission.
Missions will include obstacles, various levels of achievement, and of course -fun! Teamwork will be key, and this is the age to really refine that critical life skill.
The students who will be able to use these devices are above-average science and math students who are ready for the next level. As they approach middle school, these devices will give them hands-on experience that they can use in their future courses throughout middle and high school.
