This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello! My students are 7th and 8th graders living in a border town that heavily relies on the agriculture industry. In fact, our school was created to educate the children of this industry. For this reason, we have many migrant students and families.

We desire to incorporate podcasting into our curriculum so that we can practice useful modern technology skills while telling the stories that live within and around our students.

In order to do this, we will need some podcasting supplies to get us started!

My Project

The materials I chose will help students have a variety of ways to interview and gather audio for their podcasts. We will need two-way microphones, one-way, and professional podcasting microphones for final products. All the materials will be shared between 180 students.

These materials will unlock the stories within our students, give them the opportunity to share their learning with others, and will help them gain confidence in a skill that is ubiquitous in their world: podcasting.

This will greatly enhance our students' learning and will refine their communication skills.
