Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Solar cooking will supplement our Earth's resources unit for fun, hands-on learning. Most students can't afford a solar panel array or a Tesla, but cooking with the sun will start them off on their sustainable, climate-friendly journey. This activity is accessible to everyone. Students will learn about solar radiation and about reducing their carbon footprint while producing food.

Yummy food will reward students for learning to be environmentally responsible.

Learning to cook is also a great life skill the students need to develop. Students will enjoy the hands-on, practical experience.
