This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These knee, shoulder, and heart models and diagnostic tools will be used in our Anatomy & Physiology Honors class (170 students). Our Athletic Training classes will also utilize our models to help them in their studies as well. Our classroom has an annual budget of just over $300 which only covers basic classroom necessities. I am the head strength and conditioning coach for all sports in addition to being the Girls and Boys Head Weightlifting Coach (around 150 total weightlifters). I love science and sport and combining the two has been beyond fulfilling to help others achieve their educational and athletic dreams. Our Weightlifting Teams are a refuge for all student-athletes regardless of ability. We do not measure our successes in the weight room by the weights we lift, but by the lives that we lift up.
