This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The children in my room came in excited to begin their first year of school. They are an energetic group of transitional and traditional kindergartners who are ready to learn. This group is enthusiastic about taking on learning but now must do so from home.

We are a full-inclusion classroom with multiple languages spoken.

Our families are trying to implement "distance-learning" with limited resources. They deserve a tangible gift that they can use to help their children at home immediately.

My Project

My students were sent home with little notice. We did not know how long the schools would be closed, so they went home thinking I would see them on April 6th. Therefore they went home without the items little ones need to develop. I need to give them writing and craft materials required for little ones to learn.

Many of our families do not have the supplies to help support distance learning from home.

These Crayola Craft Kits have everything a kindergartner needs to write, draw, and create responses to online learning.
