Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The building I work in is an equity focus school as well as the feeder school of students coming from our dual language programs. More than half of our students are learning English and are also in our dual language classes. Art is the perfect elective to have hands-on learning while learning English.
Please help my students get cork map rails to display artwork in the classroom and out of the classroom as well as acrylic white paint as a needed daily supply in school.
Fine arts provides students with diverse opportunities for artistic expression, critical thinking, and hands-on learning. These resources not only benefit their academic growth but also contribute to their overall development as creative, adaptable individuals.
To display art will allow more children to see how art influences our world!
1. Artistic Techniques: They can experiment with various shading techniques, blending colors, and creating texture, honing their artistic skills and understanding of color theory.
2. Illustration and Annotation: Colored pencils are ideal for illustrating concepts in various subjects like biology, geography, and literature, enhancing comprehension and engagement.
3. Note-Taking: Students can use colored pencils to color-code and highlight notes, improving organization and memory retention.
4. Mindfulness and Relaxation: Coloring can also serve as a therapeutic activity, helping students relax and reduce stress.
