Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 3rd grade students are a diverse group, energetic, hard working and love to learn. They attend school in an urban school district where all students receive free breakfast and lunch.

My class consists of 25 students, 5 of whom are English language learners, and 2 who receive resource room services.

Each of my students contribute their thoughts, ask questions, and share ideas daily and strive to do their best and be successful both in the classroom and at home.

My Project

When our district lost and cut money to the education department, it ended up that my students are suffering from this decision. This year our math, science, reading, and social studies curriculum cut out all consumables, so my students didn't receive any workbooks. As a result, everything must be photocopied for them.

Sadly, we only received 1 case of copy paper for the entire school year.

By getting this project funded, my students will be able to have copies of all the important and necessary materials as well as homework assignments to help strengthen their academic skills. This grant will provide my students with the hands on materials to help my students achieve success in the classroom.
