This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Can you imagine if your office or workplace simply couldn't afford a copy machine? Due to an incredibly tight school budget, that is exactly what has happened in our school. I do not have the proper resources to provide my students with a 21st century education, including academic materials!

100% of my students live below the poverty, and many are first-generation students.

With all the trials and tribulations that my students go through on a daily basis, they show up to school with a smile on their faces, ready to learn! My students are my inspiration, and as their teacher I strive to go above and beyond to meet their academic and social needs.

My Project

With a copier and extra toner, I will be able to create custom made learning activities for individual students for school and home learning. WIth such resources, learning time will be greatly increased! This will greatly help my students as they work to meet their classroom goals of increasing their reading and writing levels by two grade levels in a single school year!

As a teacher, I aspire to inspire.

My goal is to be a transformational teacher by providing a 21st century education. I work tirelessly to instill an eagerness to learn. My goal is to lay a solid foundation for my students for their future academic growth and success. I want my students to believe in themselves, through my belief in them.
