My Students
Our school prides ourselves in providing our students with many meaningful opportunities to learn and grow.
My 8th grade Science students are a diverse group of learners who will learn-by-doing from the materials and hands-on products I am asking for.
The students I serve are ages 13-14, many of whom are kinesthetic and tactile learners. Providing them activities through which to learn with movement, touch, and creative thinking will be extremely beneficial and encourage meaningful opportunities to learn in an engaging way.
My Project
I am nervous and excited to welcome my students back into my classroom after an eventful and unpredictable time. As the situation continues to change, I hope that students still feel safe, welcomed, and challenged as they return to the classroom and find some sense of normalcy.
In middle school Science, hands-on collaboration is absolutely critical to laying the foundation of best practices in a lab and group setting.
Students need to be interacting (even with social distancing and masks) in order to develop the skills they need in higher level Science and Engineering courses. My hope from these products such as the fan, sanitizer, and basic supplies is to ensure safe collaboration and academic discourse throughout this school year.
