This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Panthers are energetic and creative! They are always sharing new ideas and projects in the classroom that often require art supplies. This year we have been focusing on utilizing appropriate coping skills in and out of the classroom. Our Panthers have enjoyed coloring and creating cut-out collages to express their emotions, culture, and overall identity. Their art pieces are displayed throughout the classroom. When students have access to their preferred coping skill, they increase their abilities in self-regulation.
Our students get a confidence boost and sense of accomplishment when they finish an art piece!
By donating to Coping with Art. students will have have access to their preferred materials such as a variety of markers, color pencils, coloring books, and colorful paper. Our Panthers will enjoy taking their unfinished art pieces home and continue utilizing appropriate coping skills.
