Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in kindergarten and first grade.
They have disabilities including, but not limited to autism, specific learning disabilities in both auditory and visual processing delays, developmental delays, ADHD, speech and language impairments among other disabilities.
Our school is located in a rough area of South Los Angeles where the majority of students come from very low-income households. They are a great bunch of inquisitive, fun, and diverse learners who need extra support and resources to aid and enrich their learning.
My Project
We need black toner ink to make copies at home to distribute to my students throughout distance learning. Technology is great and an amazing way to reach my students during these unprecedented times. However students still need to learn how to use pencil and paper.
Please help me in purchasing the toner so that I can print packets and assignments that we will use during virtual teaching.
I will print on a home printer and distribute on a by-weekly to monthly distribution date, at a safe distance of course so that each student has the necessary work for the following lessons.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
