Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

The autism classroom at Uplift Community School is in desperate need of a copier/printer/scanner combo. The school has one copier which they lease and it is constantly broken. I cannot even make copies of forms for parents. Also, if we were to recieve a printer/copier/scanner combo, our students could learn to make copies, collate, scan, and print different items. For autism students these skills are crucial as they can learn skills to help them for the rest of their lives. Functional life skills is the foundation of a good autism curriculum whether it be coping, sorting, or filing these skills will help them in the future.
